Day 3 – On the road again
Our third day started early.
We hopped on the 4x4 Off-Road-Vans and the drive to Bag Gazariin Chuluu began.
On our way the vastness became more and more apparent. We saw deer, horses, camels and various other livestock roaming freely.
We also visited the ruins of the Choir Monastery which was destroyed during the communist purges and the Red Temple, which is still active.
Before arriving at the camp where we would spend the first night in a Ger, we visited a former hiding spot used by monks during the purges and hiked up the hill behind the ruins.
In the evening and night the scenery was beautifully lit be the full moon.
